Today, officials from the International Maxi Games were welcomed at the headquarters of the Argentina Olympic Committee for a high-level institutional meeting aimed at strengthening and developing the event.
The meeting was attended by the president of the Argentina Olympic Committee, Mario Moccia; the Secretary General of the COA and President of the Argentina Fencing Federation, Víctor Sergio Grupier; the president of the International Maxi Games, Agustín Rodríguez Lamas; and Eduardo Rubén Rodríguez Lamas, original organizer of the first edition of the International Maxi Games.
During the meeting, a formal presentation of the International Maxi Games was made, highlighting the magnitude and scope of the event, which currently includes more than 40 sports disciplines and an estimated attendance of between 15,000 and 20,000 people, including athletes, companions, and the public.
The authorities of the Argentina Olympic Committee expressed their full institutional support for the games and made themselves available to collaborate in whatever way necessary for their development. Likewise, the possibility of coordinating efforts with the National Sports Secretary was discussed, with the aim of having the event recognized as an international sporting event, given its relevance and scope.
Another key point addressed was the COA's commitment to promoting the event through the sports federations that make up the Argentina Olympic Committee, in order to ensure broad participation and representation of disciplines.
Finally, the possibility of incorporating fencing as an additional discipline within the International Maxi Games was raised, an initiative that was received with particular interest, considering the track record and institutional role of Víctor Sergio Grupier within the Olympic movement and national fencing.
The meeting concluded on a highly positive note, in an atmosphere of enthusiasm and cooperation, reaffirming the institutional support of the Argentina Olympic Committee and consolidating the International Maxi Games as one of the most important international sporting events of the coming year.
