In Mar del Plata, the International Maxi Games were declared an event of “Touristic and Cultural Interest”

The upcoming edition of the International Maxi Games, to be held from November 24 to December 4, has been declared an event of “Touristic and Cultural Interest.” The resolution was signed by Diego Juárez, president of the Municipal Tourism and Culture Agency (EmturyC).

In the preamble, it notes that the first Games were held in 1991, with the participation of 59 countries, which competed in 19 disciplines, featuring athletes aged 25 to 70 (a total of 10,000).

It also recalls that events were held at two satellite venues (Bariloche and Santiago del Estero).

Furthermore, it states that “the renewed edition of the International Maxi Games will take place in Mar del Plata, a city specifically selected for its sports infrastructure, its tourist attractions, and the friendliness of its residents.”

For this reason, a Sports and Social Organizing Committee has been formed, comprising a group of leaders from various areas of Maxi sports with experience in organizing events both in the country and around the world.

Sports participation among people over 30 continues to grow exponentially worldwide, and participants come to this event with various athletic goals, ranging from winning the coveted medal to gaining new social experiences.

There will be individual and team events, and depending on the sporting and social calendar for each sport, athletes will be able to participate in a variety of activities. Athletes will also take part in an incredible opening ceremony and numerous social activities.

That is why it has been declared an Event of Tourist and Social Interest. This is yet another source of pride for the upcoming event.
