Daniel Scioli received the members of the International Committee of the Mar del Plata 2026 Maxi Games.

The National Secretary of Tourism, Environment and Sports, Daniel Scioli, received in audience members of the International Maxi Games Mar del Plata 2026 Committee. During the meeting, the organizers of the event gave details of the great event that will take place from November 24 to December 4.

It was informed that 27 sports disciplines will participate, which will gather more than 15,000 athletes from all over the world.

The meeting was also attended by Committee members Agustín Rodríguez Lamas (president), Darío Weglin (vice-president), Susana Treidel (secretary) and Ezequiel Re (press).

After the hearing Daniel Scioli mentioned that “these Games have multiple positive effects. Let's think about tourism and the presence of athletes from different parts of the world promoting the values of sport and health at all ages. It is also key in terms of hotel and gastronomic occupation. I thank the organizers of the Maxi Games for having thought of Mar del Plata, in Argentina. The idea is to work in an articulated way”.

The event will be declared of National Interest due to its sporting and touristic impact.

RODRIGUEZ LAMAS: “AN IMPRESSIVE SPORTING EVENT”.

Agustín Rodríguez Lamas, president of the Executive Committee of the International Maxi Games' new board of directors, said that “we intend to bring to Mar del Plata 2026 an impressive sporting event, bringing more than 15,000 athletes from different parts of the world. It will be an event with a tourist, social and sporting impact that will be unprecedented in the city. We will have athletes from 30 to more than 80 years old. It will be something spectacular.

Mar del Plata will host more than 15,000 athletes from all over the world, from 30 to more than 80 years of age, who will compete in 30 sports disciplines and will also share different moments of recreation.

For this organization, the message has a purpose: “When sport brings people together, social, political, cultural, economic and religious differences are excluded”.
