Team Structure

​

Each team may register a maximum of 18 players on its official roster, with 16 players eligible to play per game.

The minimum is 11 players per team.

In addition, a maximum of three (3) members of the coaching staff (head coach, assistant coach, strength and conditioning coach, team manager, etc.) will be permitted.

 

Tournament Capacity

​

The number of games per team will vary depending on the number of registered teams, with a minimum of four (4) and a maximum of seven (7) games per team.

The tournament format will be determined once the total number of participating teams has been confirmed.

Each court can accommodate up to 12 teams, and four (4) courts are projected to be in use simultaneously, allowing for a maximum total of 48 teams in competition.

 

Rules and Format

​

The tournament will be governed by the official rules of handball.

However, the +40 and +50 categories will have a modified game duration, consisting of two 25-minute halves.

All other rules will remain unchanged.

 

Services and Support

​

The organizing body will provide water for the teams during matches and will have on-court medical services available to address any first-aid situations that may arise.

To meet the event’s operational needs throughout the competition, the following will be provided per playing court:

• Referees

• Medical services

• Court managers

• Game equipment

• Meals for staff

• Hydration for players

• Playing court
